When I was a kid I sure love hanging out at my dad’s air conditioning shop.
He got the HVAC company from my grandfather when he passed away, and I used to love spending time up there and being a part of the family business.
My dad always told me that if I wanted to one day I could run the HVAC business. I was never sure if I wanted to actually run the day-to-day operations of the HVAC business, but I thought it might be fun to franchise out of business and make even more money than my dad was currently making. I thought if we franchised out the HVAC company and got a great reputation in the HVAC business then we would be able to hit a home run and not have to work another day in our lives. I guess it was just a smart kid working in my fathers HVAC company when I was young because now we are franchise out the HVAC company and my dad was able to retire early and I am well on my way to do the same. I am hoping that one day when I have kids they will want to also help be a part of the family HVAC company, because it has turned out to be more profitable than my father and I could have ever imagined when we first started out. I can’t wait to keep this going and see where we can take the HVAC company in the future.
