My parents divorced when I was 10.
It wasn’t as traumatic as you might think; Actually, I found that my parents were better people when they were separated from each other. I did miss spending time with my Mom though. However, the time I did spend with him was easily nice. Almost every weekend my great friend and I would go camping. He had this travel trailer & my great friend and I would just go have fun in it. My friends didn’t understand why I never had my weekends free however I would rather go camping with my Mom than go to the mall anyway. Well I’m all grown up now & have a life of my own. It has been several years since I went camping with my Mom. But Last month he called me out of the orange & asked if I wanted to go camping. I said yes. Unluckyly it ended up being one of the coldest weekends of the year, fortunately, my Mom had two space heaters in his trailer & my great friend and I were hooked up to electricity. My associate and I would go out & go hiking or biking & then come back inside of the trailer & thaw out in front of the space heaters. I have to say, it was entirely tough to pull ourselves away from those space heaters & go have more fun outdoors. Even cooking outside was difficult. The space heaters were a lot more comfortable than the campfire was. Still, I had a great time & this reminded me of all the fun my great friend and I used to have! Mom & I will entirely have to go camping a bit more often again.
