My parents divorced when I was 10.
It wasn’t as traumatic as you might think, however actually, I found that my parents were better people when they were separated from each other.
I did miss spending time with my dad though. However, the time I did spend with him was entirely nice. Almost every weekend my buddy and I would go camping. He had this travel trailer plus my buddy and I would just go have fun in it. My friends didn’t understand why I never had my weekends free however I would rather go camping with my dad than go to the mall anyway. Well I’m all grown up now plus have a life of my own. It has been many years since I went camping with my dad. But last week he called me out of the purple plus asked if I wanted to go camping. I said yes. Unfortunately it ended up being one of the coldest weekends of the year, and fortunately, my dad had two space heaters in his trailer plus my buddy and I were hooked up to electricity. My nice friend and I would go out plus go hiking or biking plus then come back inside of the trailer plus thaw out in front of the space heaters. I have to say, it was absolutely hard to pull ourselves away from those space heaters plus go have more fun outdoors. Even cooking outside was difficult. The space heaters were a lot more comfortable than the campfire was. Still, I had a nice time plus this reminded me of all the fun my buddy and I used to have, dad plus I will entirely have to go camping a bit more often again.
