Maggie and I have been friends for many years.
I think we met when I was twelve, and I am thirty-four now.
We have been through so much together, and I cannot imagine living life without her. I got married about ten years ago, but Maggie is still single. I thought that this would really affect our relationship, but it has not. If anything, it has made our friendship even stronger. We still spend several days a week together, and she is my kids favorite Auntie even though she is not actually related. I took my kids over to Aunt Maggie’s apartment a few days ago, and I noticed that it was really hot in her apartment. She did not even realize it because she had gotten used to the temperature of her apartment. I checked the thermostat, and it said that it was about eighty-three degrees in the apartment. Maggie was shocked. She went to check her air conditioner in her living room and found that it was not blowing cool air. It felt like it was just a fan. She made sure it was on the right setting and set to seventy degrees, but it was still not blowing cool air. She had a friend look at it the following day, and I guess her air conditioner basically just died. She bought a new one that day, but she was afraid that she would not be able to install it, so I went over to her house today and helped her install it. I cannot believe that we were able to get it installed and working within about an hour. I was so proud of us.
