My brother applied for an HVAC job.

From the time my brother was able to get work papers, he had been able to talk himself into any job.

He had a job with a contractor that paid him well, even though he had no experience in building anything. When the contractor found out he had been duped, he planned on firing my brother. He told him he found out he had no experience and wanted to know how my brother knew what to do. He told him he watched and learned quickly. He then told the contractor he would save him from firing him, and quit the job. From there, he sold cemetery plots, was in the Marines, and went on to be a football coach. He had never played football, but he had people convinced he was a linebacker for a top college team, which is where he hurt his knee. Last month, he applied for an HVAC. I thought he was going to work in the office, or apply some of his learned knowledge, by working on the service vans. Instead, he applied for a job as an HVAC technician. The owner of the company asked if he had his certification with him. He was honest and said he didn’t have his certification. The owner actually paid for him to take the HVAC certification course and get certified. He was working on HVAC units for almost a year before the owner found out he had never worked on HVAC systems. What surprised me was that the owner didn’t fire him. He was so good at being an HVAC technician, he paid for his to go to school.
