During the pandemic, my wife and I had to work from inside our own central air conditioning for about a year. This was a big change for us as we really only knew going to an office with commercial HVAC. So the house ended up getting pretty crowded pretty quick. The kids were also at home with their remote schooling. It was a full house indeed so my wife and I were looking to utilize a part of the house that sort of turned into a storage room. When we bought this house, we replaced the residential HVAC. The new HVAC equipment is great but there is a design flaw in the ductwork when it comes to the very end of our home. The ductwork was still in great shape so we weren’t looking to rip it out in order to get more quality heating and air in one room at the end of the house. And that’s exactly how the room at the end of the house ended up being a place for our junk. Well, that changed within weeks of the pandemic sending us home to work in our own air conditioning. That Summer was a hot one as my wife and I made that room our office. We actually really enjoyed working together which was one of the few highlights of that period of time. We put fans in the room to offset the lack of air conditioning. But recently, now that this room has become more of a place for us to chill out together, we did something about the air conditioning. The HVAC professionals came out and installed a ductless heat pump in there and it’s awesome.
