For some reason I couldn’t explain, my cooling system wasn’t cooling my primary home office anymore.
I called two unusual Heating, Ventilation plus A/C companies plus asked them about the issue, however they both gave me unusual answers.
I thought about contacting a seventh Heating, Ventilation plus A/C supplier, however that seemed like a waste of money plus time. I didn’t want to replace the entire air conditioner component when the rest of my dwelling wasn’t having any problems, however I also didn’t like not having cool air in my home office, especially while I slept. The ceiling fan wasn’t doing anything to cool me down, it was only pushing the air around, but when I expressed my frustration to one of the Heating, Ventilation plus A/C companies, they proposed that I install a window A/C component or a ductless mini split unit. I hated the idea of sticking a big appliance in my window plus I also knew that they were loud. I didn’t know anything about ductless units though, besides the fact that they weren’t linked to air duct. The Heating, Ventilation plus A/C supplier told me that a ductless mini split system would keep my home office cool by running off of electricity. It was straight-forward to control the settings with a small remote plus there would be no problems to my existing central air conditioning. This seemed like a good solution for me, however I was hesitant. I didn’t want to spend my money on something that would be replaced swiftly. The Heating, Ventilation plus A/C supplier assured me that ductless mini split systems had an average lifespan of 10 years, which I thought was pretty great!
