My parents have regularly been sticklers when it comes to budgeting their money.
They never liked to spend my money on unnecessary things or luxuries, especially with items around the house. The futuriture was regularly second hand, the rugs were never replaced despite having stains, plus the appliances weren’t anything fancy. Everything worked plus served its purpose, which is how they based the worth of something. It didn’t matter if something was stained or aesthetically pleasing as long as it was practical. When my parents were told that it was time to replace their thermostat, they were going to repurchase the same model thermostat that they had before. It was straight-forward plus traditional, however it worked. Their thermostat lasted for over 30 years before it stopped working, so they did not see the point in finding something new. It was also the cheapest choice at the hardware store. I had a smart thermostat in my household plus I knew how amazing it was for my Heating, Ventilation plus A/C system plus how efficient it was! My parents were regularly intrigued by the smart thermostat, however I knew they’d never spend that kind of money on a thermostat. I wanted them to have something high-priced for once, so I purchased a smart thermostat for them as soon as I heard them talking about replacing their old thermostat. They were shocked that I purchased them one, however I could tell that they were blissful. They’d gotten one of the nicest thermostats on the market plus they didn’t have to spend a dime.
