Clogged boiler pipe is almost deadly

I don’t like smoke detectors because they are constantly going off for no reason

I started up my gas boiler for the first time this year plus I instantly knew something was wrong: the whole apartment smelled like smoke, and when I could particularly see the smoke in the air, I turned off the boiler plus called plus Heating, Ventilation, plus A/C serviceman, however the serviceman looked over my gas boiler plus instantly found the culprit; there was a pigeons nest in the exhaust pipe. The serviceman told me that this could have been a deadly mistake, and he urged me to have smoke detectors installed instantly plus to have my gas boiler maintained at least once a year; I felt a bit chided however knew he was right. Had I gone to sleep I might not have observed the smoke plus I could have died. I had the serviceman look over my gas boiler entirely. He did find any more issues. He even put some screening around the exhaust pipe in an attempt to keep future pigeons from building nests in my vents. When he left, I went out plus got a few smoke detectors. I also tied up regular repair for my boiler. I’ve constantly just figured I would repair things when they need fixing. I never thought of what could happen if regular repair is not performed on a heater. I don’t like smoke detectors because they are constantly going off for no reason. But, the grandkids are going to see next week. What if this had happened when they were here? It is very sobering to feel about, but and, I think, it is worth having a few false smoke alarms to know they, plus I, will stay safe.
