You would think that the people who work on our Board of Education would think that the indoor air quality in the school buildings was a lot more important than they actually seem to believe.
In the fall when the kids go back to school, I am really hoping that the indoor air quality is going to be a whole lot better in the classrooms. In my opinion, they should have worked on the heating and air conditioning system in the school buildings a long time ago. I feel like the school administration spends money on all kinds of things that they don’t really need to spend money on. The indoor air quality inside of our school buildings and classrooms is not one of those things. Indoor air quality is very important to the health and wellness of our teachers and our students. I have been campaigning to get new heating and cooling systems inside of the school buildings for the past 10 years now. I still can’t believe that it has taken me this long to finally get it passed. You would think that the people who work on our Board of Education would think that the indoor air quality in the school buildings was a lot more important than they actually seem to believe. Anyway, by the time fall rolls around and the kids go back to school, they are supposed to have the heating and cooling systems completely replaced in the classrooms in our county. They already have the ball rolling, and the other day I saw some commercial hvac bands parked in the high school parking lot. After all this time, I can’t believe that it is finally happening, but I’m glad that it is! It’s about time, if you ask me.
