I love our dogs! My husband and I each had our own dog when we got married, so we now have two big pups that love to play.
I used to let them stay in the house most of the time, but once we had our first baby, I realized that I needed the big dogs out of the house for most of the day.
Our house was just too small for two big dogs and the three of us. We have a very large garage, and that has become the dog room. I do let the dogs in the house a couple of times a week so that they can play and interact with the family more, but it is quite a task because I have to bathe them each and every time. Our garage has a wood stove in it, but we never used it until recently. I really do not want the dogs to get too cold during the winter months, so I decided to chop some wood so that I can keep the stove going during the evenings. My husband thinks that the dogs are fine since it never gets below forty degrees in the garage, but I really want to make sure that they are comfortable. I only light the stove during the evenings, so I do not use that much wood which is quite nice. I think the dogs appreciate my efforts. My husband laughs at me for keeping the garage heated, but he is still sweet enough to help me chop wood. He even built a shed to stove the wood. I am glad that I can heat the garage for our two fur babies.
