I have a very close relationship with my sister.
I know most sisters tend to be very close, but my sister and I are twins so we have an extra close bond.
I have always been very protective of her because she doesn’t always make the best decisions in life. So, when she told me that she wanted to start working for a local HVAC company I got a little worried. My sister went to college and has a degree in marketing, so I thought she would want to start working for an advertising agency or something like that. I wanted to dig a little deeper and figure out why my sister wanted to start working for an HVAC company. It was not like she would be working in the marketing department of this HVAC company either, she would be an HVAC technician. My sister knows nothing about the HVAC business so again I am curious why she thinks this will be a good career path for her. I think I am just extra protective because I want her to succeed. I think she has great potential to do whatever she wants in her life. However, sometimes I think I am too judgemental and she might be able to handle these kinds of things on her own. I’m going to have a conversation with her about why she wants to work at the HVAC company, but if she really wants to then I’m going to leave it alone and let her be happy. The last thing I want to do is take away from my sister’s happiness.
