I feel like for the last month or two I have been having really bad luck.
- I don’t know why I can’t seem to catch a break and I am about to lose it.
I have been trying to keep it together, but it feels like one bad thing after another keeps happening to me and I am really getting sick of it. Last week, I was at my breaking point when I woke up in the middle of the night to the smell of smoke in my house. I searched everywhere for the smell and noticed it was coming from the closet where my HVAC unit it kept. I ran over to the closet and opened the door to find that my HVAC unit was on fire. It wasn’t huge fire and I was able to put it out rather quickly, but it really pushed me over the edge. Now, I was going to have to call a local HVAC company to come out to the house and look at my HVAC unit. I am pretty sure it caught fire because I hadn’t changed the filter in months and it was getting clogged up. I really should have been better about changing my HVAC filters because I could have prevented this from happening all together. I really don’t want to have to pay to have my HVAC unit replaced, but I learned a lesson about making sure that I am taking care of my HVAC system.
