Reading the paper yesterday I found an article about the swings in housing. The days of single family homes seems to be shifting to house living. Old buildings that have been abandoned for years are being purchased for silly low prices plus converted into living space. There seems to be a revitalization of urban living taking locale across the country. Young families are more interested in energy efficient apartments plus being close to events than enjoyable in the backyard. Yard Work plus barbeques have been upgraded by take-out plus songs festivals. I don’t necessarily see anything wrong with this, but, I like controlling my life more. For example, if I want to paint my walls or install a new HVAC system, I can. I have the freedom to control my own living space as I see fit. When you live in a multi unit house or even a highrise, you are dependant upon the main units to supply you your heating plus cooling. If the system breaks down, the whole building is going to suffer. It may take longer to repair as those larger units require specialized repair specialists. I am cheerful that I can contact my local HVAC business plus have someone over in about an hour in most cases. The system I have at my condo can be tested by any of the people that labor there. I can see the advantages to this new trend despite the fact that I for one will be staying in my house in the suburbs. I will prefer my yardwork plus barbeques along with the freedom to control my own environment.
